Minimum Standards for mainstreaming gender equality. Gender mainstreaming skills and strategies. Gender policy, indicator and planning. 

OBJECTIVES:

1. Discuss the Basic concept of Social Standards
2. Explain Social norms and Social expectations.
3. Diagnose and distinguish between different types of norms

4. Clarify any ambiguity in the terms: norms, customs, conventions

5. Give the conceptual definition of gender and other related terms
6. Distinguish between Gender Equality and Gender Equity
7. Discuss gender mainstreaming as means to gender equality.
8. Highlight some of the efforts of World Bank in achieving equality.
9. Create and develop the desired awareness of the gender mainstreaming kills and strategies.
